Read: 8 mins.For ten years, my home was Vienna, Austria, and the sweet tooth of my young self had found many favorites. Among them were cakes, chocolates, and other Viennese desserts. In this review, we will take a look at one of my all-time beloved chocolates: Mozartkugeln (by Mirabell, Reber, Victor Schmidt/Manner, and Fürst). Decadent, smooth or nutty, sweet, and wrapped in a ball of goodness, the rich, milky chocolate taste brings a bit of luxury and indulgence to an otherwise boring day.

Read: 14 mins.Finding good, portable projectors for small-group, outdoor movie nights has been a disappointing quest over the last, two years. From $60 to $300 devices, each had much to like but also left a lot still to be desired. There were the big ones that output excellent, bright images but were more geared towards the home or office with HDMI/VGA connectors, small ones that were very portable but lacked the brightness and sharpness, and more recently, minis that could operate off a battery but also sacrificed image quality, input options, and good sound. I eventually did find one that checked off almost every one of my requirements. This review will go over some projection basics that helped me decide what was right for our family.

Read: 4 mins.Wood stoves are a great, inexpensive, more environmentally-friendly alternative to fuel can-based products like the popular Jetboil, and for years, my go to was the Solo Stove. However, despite all the benefits the Solo Stove offers, its inability to be packed small and its high cost made me look for alternatives for wilderness backpacking and for emergencies as part of a bug out bag. As it turned out, I much prefer the copycat.

Read: 18 mins.Back in April, I purchased the Jackery Explorer 1000 and the Goal Zero Yeti 500x later as a result of 2019's fires. Coincidentally, this year's fires on the entire US west coast is actually WORSE with new records broken! I cannot stress how important it is to be prepared for emergencies! Thankfully, there has been an increase in people taking emergency preparation more seriously. When Jackery announced the Explorer 300 with a special launch price and some improvements over the Explorer 1000, I jumped on it for one simple reason: my little boy loves camping and I wanted him to have a mini-Explorer of his own (actually, I wanted another backup battery, but don't tell him that). It DOES look awfully cute to have him and I stand next to one another holding our own Explorers!
