Review: Merach Pocket Massage Gun Nano (Gray Silver) (and Kica K2 Mini Massage Gun)

By |2021-06-26T21:52:40-07:00Mar 7, 2021 - Sunday|Product Reviews, Reviews|

Read: 4 mins."Percussion massage guns were a fad", I thought until my sister-in-law lent me hers for a week. I later found it relaxing for my sore shoulders, stiff neck, and lower back after sitting in front of the computer for nearly half an entire day for several days a week. There was one problem with these massagers: they were TOO large and unwieldy to bring for travels. Research eventually led me to the Merach Pocket Massage Gun Nano as the lightest and one of the smallest massage guns available today. I gave it a try.

Review: Evercross H5 Electric Scooter with Seat (vs Joyor X5S) Hitway

By |2022-03-03T09:44:51-08:00Feb 14, 2021 - Sunday|Product Reviews, Reviews|

Read: 15 mins.Nearly a year ago, I reviewed my first-ever, electric scooter. It opened my eyes to the thrill of exploring town on a zippy, nimble transport, but standing for a prolonged period of time became tiring at times. Did the Evercross/Hitway H5 with its seat, more powerful motor, 30 mph top speed, and funky, dynamic LED lights along the deck make rides more fun and comfortable? In this review, I compared both scooters.

Review: Kitchen SinkShroom Steel Sink Strainer

By |2021-06-17T22:32:43-07:00Feb 8, 2021 - Monday|Product Reviews, Reviews|

Read: 3 mins.Keeping the sink strained is a MUST for keeping debris out of plumbing and potentially clog things up. Take for instance an incident in 2013 at our investment property: rice grains collected into a massive, solid ball over time that completely stopped anything from passing through! Yes, rice did that! But don't garbage disposal units take care of grains? Surprisingly, no. The Kitchen SinkShroom strainer brought back some sanity and convenience into our home.

WordPress Speed Optimization with Custom FontAwesome Icon Font (Avada Theme)

By |2023-07-19T09:04:05-07:00Feb 6, 2021 - Saturday|Technology|

Read: 6 mins.If you care about optimizing your website's performance to improve its search engine ranking, one of the things to evaluate is the number or size of fonts in use. The Avada Theme used by this site is wonderful but also very bloated. I went to create a Custom Icon Font with just the images the site needs to speed up the time it takes to load this site. However, I unexpectedly ran into an issue of the icons disappearing from the Classic Editor (TinyMCE) toolbar. This post details the problem and the workaround I implemented.

Review: Goal Zero Nomad 200 Foldable Solar Panel (vs Boulder 200)

By |2022-05-10T21:01:56-07:00Jan 29, 2021 - Friday|Product Reviews, Reviews|

Read: 12 mins. The Jackery SolarSaga 100 solar panel previously impressed me with its rigid body, light weight, and quick deployment. However, there were times where I wanted my higher-capacity power stations (like the Goal Zero Yeti 1500x or Jackery Explorer 1000) to be charged more quickly for a variety of reasons. The solution: multiple solar panels or a single, high-capacity one. In this review, I break down the Pros and Cons of having two 100W panels versus one 200W, the Goal Zero Nomad 200. I also explored how to use the Nomad with other companies' power stations (like Jackery) and was surprised how easy it was.
